The Rosary and Cursillo

Greetings from the Wirral, even in lockdown there is a wonderful place in our Faith which helps us and carries us to a place of prayer.

Since last October, our lives may have taken different pathway.  We may have lost family and friends and we were saddened by the loss of David, who went to his heavenly home due to the virus and God’s will.  That bought it home to me.

So where do we go from here?

In October (2019) I had an encounter with Our Blessed Lady – It started on the Thursday evening and continued to the Sunday morning.  I was told by Her, “I am your MOTHER not your Mum.”  What could that mean to me?

Over the lockdown I have watched Mass, on TV and prayers from around the world.  Then I found the Divine Mercy, also the Rosary in so many forms.  I also learnt that you can either SAY or PRAY a prayer.

I found Fr Don Calloway talking about the Rosary: The Spiritual sword of Our Lady (Fransiscan University of Steubenville)

He tells us how powerful the Rosary is.  It is a fighting prayer.  It is a sword and the devil is frightened of it.  I knew about putting on the whole armour of God (Ephesians 6 vs 6-10).  I did not know I had a prayer sword as well.

So, I decided it was time to start to Pray the Rosary.  So why not pray for Cursillo, we need to be United in Prayer.  To stand against the devil and stop his movement against the people of God.

-Most of my life I have said the Rosary one way or another, in many ways just to be in contact with the Mother of Jesus. To be told she is my Mother too, has changed me-

Being able to see Her.  Being able to hear Her. Being able to say the Rosary with Her and stand united with all who pray it.

It is a powerful prayer.  Changing experiences.  How can we change our Cursillo?

By praying the Rosary together
